Dr. Drancik joined Northern Illinois Endodontics in 1996. He is a graduate of Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine. Upon graduation, Dr. Drancik completed a residency in advanced general dentistry at the University of Louisville.

His training continued at Saint Louis University where he obtained a Master of Science degree during a two-year endodontic residency. Dr. Drancik is a member of several professional organizations. These include the American Dental Association, the American Association of Endodontists, the Illinois State Dental Society and the Chicago Dental Society. He also served as president of the Dekalb Dental Society and is currently a member of the Edgar J. Coolidge Endodontic Study Club of Chicago.

Dr. Drancik and his wife Amber reside in Elburn and have two adult children, Max and Sophie. His hobbies are dependent upon the season and include golf, fishing, hunting and snowmobiling. However, he is most grateful for the time spent with his family.

Dr. Carl Rex

Dr. Rex was born and raised in the Chicagoland suburb of Medinah, lllinois. He obtained both his bachelor and dental degrees as part of the accelerated Pre-Dental scholars Program at Marquette University. His dental school accolades include graduating Magna Cum Laude, receiving the international College of Dentists Leadership Award, and being inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society.

Following graduation, he completed a general practice residency at San Francisco VA Medical Center before returning to Wisconsin to practice as a general dentist. He then completed his specialty endodontic training at Saint Louis University Center for Advanced Dental Education where he obtained his endodontic certificate along with his master's degree. His master's thesis topic was CBCT 3D radiographic imaging.

He is a member of numerous professional organizations including: the American Dental Association, American Association of Endodontists, lllinois State Dental Society, and Chicago Dental Society. He is currently board eligible for the American Board of Endodontics. 

Dr. Rex is an avid Chicago sports fan and lifelong Bears supporter despite spending nine years in Wisconsin. He enjoys anything outdoors and is technologically savvy to the point where he built his own computer following high school graduation. He is an avid foodie and enjoys spending his free time trying new restaurants.
